The Internet was a transformative way for us to access information and develop connections that will stand the test of time. However, the portal through which we access that pool of information, people and eventually things will be constantly changing as technology advances. We’re well into the post-PC era and seeing how mobile (phones and tablets) are effecting the use and monetisation of the internet and after mobile we’ll likely see wearables do the same and after wearables, likely embeddables until we’re all hooked up to The Matrix.
But the journey is just as interesting as the destination, so before that happens its great to get the context of just how much and how quickly, mobile is changing our internet experience.
